COIM has joined the UN Global Compact

C.O.I.M. S.p.A, an Italian multinational that has manufactured chemical products since 1962 and that operates all over the world through nineteen manufacturing and trading companies,has joined the UN Global Compact, a voluntary initiative for the development, implementation and communication of sustainable, responsible policies by participating companies.

“With this announcement, COIM is proud to join the thousands of companies globally that have taken up the call to act responsibly in business so that we can create the world we all want”, explains Giuseppe Librandi, President and CEO of COIM. “Joining the UN Global Compact is in line with our principles of sustainability and social focus and further strengthens our commitment in these areas.”

The United Nations Global Compact is a call to companies to voluntarily align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take actions in support of UN goals, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate responsibility initiative in the world, with over 15,000 businesses and 3,000 non-business signatories from 160 countries and more than 70 local networks.
