Coiminks, a brand of C.O.I.M. S.p.a., a multinational company based in Offanengo (CR) that has been developing and manufacturing chemical specialties since 1962, a leader in the production of polyesters, polyols, polyurethanes and special resins for the production of composite materials and coatings, announces an increase in prices for flexible packaging inks intended for the EMEA market.
The causes attributable to the significant increase in the price of this product are to be traced back to the provisional measures introduced by the European Community on duties for imports of Titanium Dioxide from China, varying from 14.4% to 39.7% depending on the supplier. Due to the increase in demand from European producers, the Community product is also undergoing continuous price increases. Added to all this is the increase in the cost of raw materials: most pigments, in fact, have seen an increase in costs due to recent pressures on the supply chain.
COIM Group's priority to ensure a constant supply, as well as maintaining the quality and continuity of its products, has led to the assumption of these significant costs in recent months.
COIM, already present in the world of flexible packaging with the Novacote® line, has introduced the production of inks for flexible packaging under the Coiminks brand since 2019.
