C.O.I.M. S.p.a., a multinational company based in Offanengo (Cremona, Italy) that has been developing and producing specialty chemicals since 1962, leader in the production of polyesters, polyols, polyurethanes, and special resins for the creation of composite materials and coatings, has been identified among the excellences of Made in Italy in the multi-sectoral research conducted on the landscape of Italian companies by the ItalyPost Study Center, in collaboration with L'Economia del Corriere della Sera.
Founded in 1962 and currently operating with 9 production sites, 9 research centers, and 1,327 employees worldwide, COIM recorded a turnover of 1.2 billion euros in 2023, with a history of unprecedented innovation and passion.
The research focused on the financial statements of companies that performed above average between 2016 and 2022, mapping 300 excellent Italian companies based on criteria such as revenue growth, EBITDA, and profits. The analysis then identified the 100 most economically and asset-solid companies among those with revenues between 500 million and 10 billion euros, as well as companies with up to 500 million euros across four key sectors of Italian manufacturing: metalworking, chemical-pharmaceutical, food and beverages, textile, fashion, and clothing. Metalworking and steelmaking emerged as the primary sectors accounting for 47 out of 100 companies, with 66 billion, followed by chemicals and pharmaceuticals with 30 billion.
The Summit where the research will be presented is taking place today and tomorrow, October 17 and 18, 2024, at the Davines Group Village in Parma: during the event, Giuseppe Librandi, President and Chief Executive Officer of COIM, will discuss with other participating companies, topics such as innovation, sustainability, growth strategies, and future prospects for the company.
