COIM, a world leader in the chemical industry, has received the prestigious ISCC PLUS certification (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) for its production facility in Offanengo (CR). ISCC PLUS certification is applicable for the bioeconomy and circular economy, representing an international standard that verifies the sustainability of production using bio-based and recycled raw materials.
This achievement not only underscores COIM’s ongoing commitment to sustainability but also confirms that the production processes for its bio-based polyester family, “Isoexter E” used by customers in the manufacture of polyurethane insulating materials, meet stringent sustainability, traceability, and transparency criteria along the entire supply chain.
“ISCC PLUS certification is another, important confirmation of the sustainability of our production. The bio-based solutions in the Isoexter-E range are seamlessly integrated into our customers’ production processes. These products perform exactly the same as those made using non-renewable raw materials, so our customers can introduce them without changing their existing machinery or production methods,” says Andrea Stefani, Isoexter Marketing Manager for Europe and the Middle East at COIM.
